STEPS IN PREPARING TIGERNUTS JUICE


 
Tiger nut drink, also known as Kunun Aya, is a delicious and nutritious beverage made from tiger nuts. Here’s how to prepare it:

Ingredients
2 cups of tiger nuts (fresh or dried)
1 liter of water
Sweeteners (honey, dates, or sugar) – optional
Flavorings (ginger, coconut, or vanilla extract) – optional

Steps

1. Soak the Tiger Nuts
If using dried tiger nuts, soak them in water for 24-48 hours to soften.
If using fresh tiger nuts, rinse thoroughly before use.

2. Blend
Drain the soaked tiger nuts and put them in a blender.
Add water (just enough to help it blend smoothly).
Add flavorings like ginger, coconut, or dates for extra taste.

3. Strain
Use a fine sieve, cheesecloth, or muslin cloth to separate the milk from the pulp.
Squeeze out as much liquid as possible.

4. Sweeten & Serve
Add honey, sugar, or dates if desired.
Stir well and chill in the refrigerator before serving.

Storage
Keep refrigerated and consume within 2-3 days, as it spoils quickly.
